Mark Sawyer founded Hay Sales Direct after over a decade of working on turf and hay production farms.
Driven by his appreciation of the rural landscape, and spending as much time outdoors as possible, he has been fortunate to work with and benefit from the knowledge of the previous generations, which has helped him broaden his skills and gain experience in a wide range of roles, including the implementation of weed management systems, working in property management and maintenance positions, local contract baling and slashing.
Mark’s passion for the outdoors sees him working from before the sun comes up and well after the sun comes down. You may wonder what he does in his time off. Unsurprisingly, as a farmer, “time-off” is still an unknown concept to him, and his only complaint is not having enough hours in the day.
